12 Weeks of Fresh, Local Produce, Grown in the Heart of the Northern Neck

What is Community Supported Agriculture?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between farmers and consumers. In a traditional model, members purchase a share of the harvest before the season begins and receive a weekly box of fresh produce throughout the growing season.

Why Choose Oakland CSA?

The folks at Hickory Nut Farm have worked hard to heal the land, using cover crops, naturally mined rock minerals, sea minerals, home meals and compost to improve soil quality.  Each week you will receive a box full of nutrient dense produce grown using organic practices.  You will taste the difference with your first box.

What’s in the box?

Nothing is guaranteed in farming, but we hope to bring you a full range of fall produce including cabbage, Napa cabbage, carrots, turnips, radishes, lettuce, salad mixes, cauliflower, broccoli, kale, spinach, swiss chard, bok choy, and much more.

New for Fall 2025: Pay as You Go

Usually a CSA subscription requires customers to pay up front for a season of vegetables, but this fall we are going to try something different. We are going to allow everyone to pay weekly for the same price as a subscription: just $30/box.

Each week, subscribers will receive a reminder to order boxes through an online form. The form also includes add on options (like eggs, extra produce). Your total will appear at the bottom of the form (if you forget your total, just reach out to us and we will provide it).

Don’t think you can eat an entire box? Sign up for bi-weekly boxes, or order a la carte produce.

Bring cash or check to pick up (Cash App and Venmo available upon request).
